Preventative Health Screening
As part of our ongoing management to assist patients in maintaining their health care needs, and to aim for good health practice, Tura Beach Medical Centre offer eligible patients a range of preventative heath screening checks. These health checks provide patients with a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to their health care. These consultations with your doctor & practice nurse is fully covered by Medicare.
Health Assessments
Health assessments use preventative screening tests, to identify patient risk factors. Early detection enables us to provide patients with the relevant health information strategies, to promote and maintain healthy lifestyles.
This is part of our management to assist in maintaining your ongoing health care and needs, and for good health practice.
Health assessments are available for patients who are-
- 75 years and over
- 45 to 49 years old
- 40-49 years old and at risk of developing Diabetes
- Patients who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
Screening tests may include:
- ECG
- Urinalysis
- Respiratory function
- Eye sight
