Dr Angela Nimmo

Dr Nimmo took over ownership of Tura Beach Medical Centre in March 2000. She has many years’ experience in General Practice, having also worked for the Family Planning Association in NSW & ACT, supervising Registrars & both nurse and medical students for more than twenty years.

Qualifications include Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Recognised as a Local Medical Officer for Veteran Affairs card holders. Has special interest in women’s health and has been a VMO at the local hospitals. Dr Nimmo also provided services until a few years ago, at Pambula Hospital Emergency department and to the inpatients.

Dr Nimmo provided time and skills as president for a period to Sapphire Community Centre, as a board member & chairperson of South East NSW General Practice Network and Medicare Local for south east NSW.

Also provides a full range of general practice services including:

Skin Cancer Checks and treatment/removal of small skin cancers, moles and simple lumps/bumps
Health care planning for older patients;
Workplace injury management
Menopause management
Management of simple and greenstick fractures
Infertility and Family Planning
Regularly visits Hugh Cunningham Gardens & Albert Moore Gardens Nursing Homes
Provides palliative care in the home.
